Don't ever let them back out, LAPD

Seven Los Angeles police officers who shot at two newspaper carriers on a Torrance street during the hunt for fugitive cop Christopher Dorner remain off of field duty, a Los Angeles police official said Wednesday.

Police Chief Charlie Beck decided that the officers should not be assigned to work the city's streets until the investigation is complete, said Lt. Andy Neiman, a department spokesman.

Beck made the decision following a 72-hour review and will decide whether to discipline the officers once the inquiry is done.
