12-Year-Old Facing Two Felony Charges for Allegedly "Swatting" Ashton Kutcher's Home

The 12-year-old boy who was arrested in December for making prank “swatting” calls on Ashton Kutcher's house and at least one other location last October was charged on several counts on Thursday, among them two felony counts of making false bomb threats and computer intrusion, the L.A. District Attorney announced.

“Swatting” is the unfortunate crime trend of people calling the police to report crimes occurring at a celebrity’s home when no such incident was actually taking place, in order to drive a police S.W.A.T. team to the house. Such a prank costs valuable public taxpayer resources.
