NZ Prime Minister in the Spotlight Over Spying Claims

Prime Minister John Key is expected to face a grilling in Parliament today when he corrects his statements about when he was first told about illegal spying on Megaupload millionaire Kim Dotcom.

Mr Key initially said he was informed about the Government Communications Security Bureau's spying on Dotcom on September 17 but later confirmed he attended a briefing in which Dotcom was mentioned seven months earlier.

Mr Key says he cannot remember details of the briefing but Labour leader David Shearer claims Mr Key made a quip about Dotcom following the GCSB presentation.
