U.S. Issues Warning to Americans in South Sudan
WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- The U.S. State Department warned citizens working on relief efforts in South Sudan to avoid security exposure given the situation in that country.
The State Department issued a travel warning for South Sudan, saying it advised against traveling to areas that border Sudan. Though fighting between rival forces has declined since early this year, renewed conflict remains a legitimate threat.
